“The Big Pipe” That was Made and Delivered in 24 hours for Cape Breton Washout
On Monday night, October 10, 2017 an ‘unprecedented’ 225 mm of rain fell on Cape Breton Island as the tail end of Hurricane Matthew passed by. While the deluge was still in progress, Atlantic Industries Limited (AIL) contacted senior officials at Nova Scotia Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (NSTIR) to advise that we were on 24/7 stand-by to help with any issues.

Polymer Coated Steel Tunnel Liner Plate Successfully Rehabilitates Failing Concrete Box Culvert
Located south of Lake Nipigon, on Highway 11 in East McKirdy, Ontario, a 108 year-old, cast-in-place (CIP) concrete box culvert beneath the highway was failing. A long-term solution was required to rehabilitate the aging structure and maintain vehicular access along this busy stretch of highway.
